Our proposal for the Riyadh Urban Art Lab, titled Seeds of Future, imagines a 20 x 20 m pavilion that appears like a fragment of living earth lifted from the ground.
Its mirrored walls reflect the city around it, while a floating roof of soil bursts with plants, flowers, and trees, their roots suspended in the air below. Around the edges, water trickles gently, turning the pavilion into a serene oasis amid the urban landscape. Solar panels hidden within the greenery make the structure self-sustaining.
Inside, visitors enter an immersive, ever-changing world. With each step, seeds awaken, roots grow, and a fantastical forest emerges. Human-like trees sway in harmony, rivers ripple beneath their feet, and the space transforms from vibrant gardens to cosmic visions — a cycle that always returns to the seed, ready to begin again.
The Riyadh Urban Art Lab is both a work of architecture and a living artwork — a place where nature, technology, and imagination converge to symbolize the Kingdom’s creative renaissance.
