Topkapi area has over three million visitors a year. Istanbul Archaeological Museums, located on a hill just below the two monuments, has much less affluence.
As part of remodeling Istanbul Archaeological Museums (IAM), Boris Micka Associates has been assigned to develop a master plan that re-designs and offers a new structure to the visit of the entire Topkapi area in order to incorporate IAM as part of the main touristic visit. Part of this project is the inclusion of the Imperial Mint to IAM installations.
