The Etnoland Multimedia Restaurant blends heritage, storytelling, and gastronomy into a unique immersive experience that invites visitors to journey through Dalmatian history and culture.
The visit begins with a Preshow, where stone walls come to life through audiovisual mapping — whispering voices, drops of water, and glowing shapes transform raw rock into the building blocks of local architecture. From there, guests enter the Multimedia Restaurant, a stone-walled dining hall where a long table becomes the stage for an extraordinary narrative.
Guided by the story of Šime, a Dalmatian grandfather, visitors follow his life’s journey — from childhood games by the river, to migration to New York, the devastation of war, and the rebuilding of his village. Projection mapping across the walls and table, combined with live-action film, CGI animation, and original soundscapes, brings his memories vividly to life. The story culminates in a joyful reunion and celebration, as the Nijemo Kolo dance invites everyone to join in.
The experience is an emotional journey, seamlessly combining culture, tradition, and cutting-edge technology. Designed to be both self-guided and group-friendly, the visit lasts about an hour and concludes with local cuisine and souvenirs that extend the memory of the story.
